PRIVACY STATEMENT

HIP Flooring solutions is committed to protecting our customer’s privacy and the purpose of this statement is to explain how we collect and use the personal information you provide to us.  We will keep your data private and only use it for the purposes set out in this statement and in accordance with all legislation concerning the protection of personal information.

Collecting your data

We collect your personal data by the information you give us (for example, when you ask us to provide a quote or a service) or by information from third parties who provide us with your details in order for us to provide you with a quote or contract. This can include information such as your name, postal address, email address and phone number.    

Using your data

We use your data in the following ways; 

To deliver a service:  we may use personal data that you provide to us in order to deliver a service that we have promised to you, such as providing a quote or fulfilling a contract with you (sanding/fitting a floor) based on the contract legal basis.  All of the information we hold is securely stored.

At times we may have to share your personal information with a third party in order to fulfil the terms of our contract e.g. providing a supplier with your address in order to deliver flooring to you. 

We may also disclose your personal information where we are under a duty to comply with any legal obligation, for example we have a legal requirement to pass our income and expenditure details to our accountant in order to meet HMRC legal requirements for tax and national insurance purposes.  

We will never share your details with any third parties for the purposes of their own marketing.

Keeping your information safe

Personal Information stored by us (or shared with our accountant for tax accountancy purposes) is kept in a secure environment and we use appropriate technologies to safeguard your details (e.g. password protected personal computers and backed up to password protected USB sticks stored in locked filing cabinet, and paper copies of invoices stored in locked filing cabinet).   We keep to strict security standards to ensure that only employees and approved representatives working on our behalf who need the information to perform a specific job, are allowed to access personal data.   

We keep your personal information only for as long as is required to fulfil our contract with you and in accordance with legal requirements such as tax and accounting rules. Where your information is no longer required we will dispose of it in a safe and secure manner.
